The roster of speakers who will present at Amazon re:MARS in June has expanded since registration first opened in March. Event’s speaker roster expands for keynotes, innovation spotlights, and leadership sessions.

Registration for re:MARS, the company’s in-person event that explores advancements and practical applications within machine learning, automation, robotics, and space (MARS), remains open, with tickets on sale from the event’s website.

The roster of keynote speakers has expanded since registration first opened in March, and now includes Amazon executives Alicia Boler Davis, senior vice president, Customer Fulfillment; Dilip Kumar, vice president, Physical Retail and Technology; Rohit Prasad, senior vice president and head scientist, Alexa AI; Swami Sivasubramanian, Amazon Web Services (AWS) vice president, Data and ML Services; Tom Soderstrom, director and chief technologist, AWS Worldwide Public Sector; and Bill Vass, AWS vice president, Engineering.

Moreover, leadership session speakers will include Jono Luk, vice president of product management, Webex; Melanie Stricklan, co-founder and chief executive officer, Slingshot Orbital; and Prem Natarajan, vice president, Alexa AI Natural Understanding.

The event’s host will be Adam Savage, the former co-host of the Discovery Channel series MythBusters, and current editor in chief of tested.com, which explores the intersection of science, popular culture, and emerging technology.

We are seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to define and drive the scientific direction of large-scale risk management systems that safeguard millions of transactions every day. In this role, you will lead the design and deployment of advanced machine learning solutions, influence cross-team technical strategy, and leverage emerging technologies—including Generative AI and LLMs—to build next-generation risk prevention platforms. Key job responsibilities Lead the end-to-end scientific strategy for large-scale fraud and risk modeling initiatives Define problem statements, success metrics, and long-term modeling roadmaps in partnership with business and engineering leaders Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable machine learning systems in real-time production environments Drive innovation using advanced ML, deep learning, and GenAI/LLM technologies to automate and transform risk evaluation Influence system architecture and partner with engineering teams to ensure robust, scalable implementations Establish best practices for experimentation, model validation, monitoring, and lifecycle management Mentor and raise the technical bar for junior scientists through reviews, technical guidance, and thought leadership Communicate complex scientific insights clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders Identify emerging scientific trends and translate them into impactful production solutions
