Mechanical Engineer, Cryogenic Hardware

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA, is looking to hire a Research Scientist specializing in hardware design for cryogenic environements. The candidate should have expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks), thermal and structural FEA (Ansys/COMSOL), hardware design for cryogenic applications, design for manufacturing, and mechanical engineering principles. The candidate must have demonstrated driving designs through full product development cycles (requirements, conceptual design, detailed design, manufacturing, integration, and testing). Candidates must have a strong background in both cryogenic mechanical engineering theory and implementation. Working effectively within a cross-functional team environment is critical.
